I created Arctic-mood at the beginning of 2015 as a way to better share my work with the public. Landscape photography has always been my first choice, especially in the far north, but with time I got to appreciate telling stories through my photography and worked on wedding, conferences, sport events and more.

I discovered photography in 2005, it was at first a way to show people where I was going and still is now my first motivation, showing landscapes/places to people who don’t have the chance to go there. Pursuing this goal, I have lived in different countries : Finland, Alaska, New Zealand and I am now living in Whitehorse – Canada.

Photography isn’t my main professional activity, allowing me to be selective on what projects I choose to work on.

One of them is the Yukon Quest, a 1000 miles international sled dog race, that I have officially covered for the past 6 years. In 2018 I had the chance to cover the Iditarod sled dog race another 1000 miles race running in Alaska and one of the biggest sport event in Alaska.

Feel free to contact me with any assignments, I love telling stories with my camera especially if they involve the North. Email : Julien.schroder at gmail.com
